Next Webmaster Meetup In Cork - October 31

I’ve been meaning to publish this post since the announcement of the Webmaster Meet-up Series.

Richard Hearne has announced the dates of the next webmaster meet up to take place on October 31st the night before BarCamp Cork on November 1st.

So as before with the webmaster meet there are no rules, no special invite needed, you don’t even need to know anyone and its totally free. Just come along introduce yourself and have a chat, simple as that.

I am not 100% sure if the folks of BarCamp need to be informed if you are attending, I can’t see any mention of it on their site. If you fancy BarCamp Cork on 1st November and want more info go ahead and contact them directly, I’m sure they’ll provide everything you need.

You can read more about the BarCamp manifesto here and follow the Webmaster meet up discussion here.

Unfortunately for me both events fall on Halloween weekend and I am expected to be in Derry, dressed as a clown, for the cities biggest yearly event. :-)

*update*

Pat Phelan is orgainising a Pre BarCamp Dinner so if you are ineterested drop him a comment to confirm. Also, Sabrina Dent is organising a Sunday mornning brunch which will be a great way to wrap up the weekend events.

Love to see lots of the Forum meetup people at BarCamp and I think a lot of BarCampers would like to meet ye on the Friday night. Let us know what venue you pick and I’ll promote it locally.

That reminds me I should blog about this too. Pity you won’t be there.

I’m looking forward to going to my first barcamp and also putting faces to names/avatars on IWF.

    Have fun in Derry,
    Paul

@Conor I’ll update the forum thread and ask them to drop you a line once they have decided on a venue.

@Paul you should blog about it as you are the one that’s travelling the most just to attend, now that dedication. These events are great to meet people face to face after chatting to them for so long online.
